Belgians are spoiled for choice when it comes to chocolates and waffles, often making them the go-to gift for any occasion. While the quality of Belgian chocolate is undeniable, a new trend is emerging, fueled by the popularity of Asian dramas on Netflix. This interest in Asia, coupled with the ease of online shopping, has opened a door for alternative gift ideas. Recognizing this shift, we saw an opportunity to introduce fish waffles (Taiyaki in Japanese or Bungeoppang in Korean) as a unique and appealing gift option. 

The challenge, however, lay in creating a low-cost gift box design that would stand out on the market, boasting a timeless and cool aesthetic that would resonate with both parents and children alike.​​
